My Story

Evangelist Vickie Wright was born in Clarksville, Tennessee.  She is the eldest of eight children.  She first heard the call of God when she was 12 years old and responded by water baptism. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1972 and joined the US Army in 1973.

In August 1981, she met Brother Haywood Wright, and they were married. They are blessed with three wonderful sons.

They have since been blessed with six beautiful granddaughters and one grandson.  1982 Evangelist Wright and Elder Wright lived in Columbus, GA, and attended Prayer and Faith Temple COGIC. Evangelist Wright worked faithfully teaching Sunday School and Prayer and Bible Band, sang in the Choir, and was President of the Home and Foreign Mission. She assisted her husband in the local Youth Detention Center ministry and worked with the Nursing Home Ministry.

First Lady Vickie Wright graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She completed a dual major in Spanish and German and a minor in Secondary Education.  In 2005, she moved with her family to Omaha, NE. In 2008, Elder Haywood Wright, Jr. was appointed Pastor of Faith Temple COGIC, Omaha, NE in the year 2008.

Evangelist Wright served faithfully with her husband at Faith Temple COGIC from 2008-2018.

She and her husband became members of Endure To The End Ministries COGIC from 2018-2022, under the leadership of Superintendent Victor Rountree. They are actively serving in the North Dakota Jurisdiction and are faithful. Presently, she serves as Co-Pastor/First Lady at Victorious Living Ministry with her husband, COGIC, Inc., Omaha, Nebraska, in the Worship District of Bellevue.

She will be officially appointed to the position of District Missionary during North Dakota Jurisdiction's 31st Annual Tri-Holy Convocation, July 18-21,2023, at Jehovah Jireh Ministries COGIC, at Brooklyn Center, MN.
